We at ThermoWhite were given the chance to test early versions of Known Caller and help improve it with feedback to the company behind it. That experience completely changed how we talk to customers—and how they perceive us. Instead of spending the first minutes of a call asking for a name, email, or order number, we can greet them by name and show we already know the background. That gives a much more professional impression. Especially when we're out of the office: incoming calls aren't anonymous anymore—we see who's on the line straight away, tap through to the full record in our WordPress CRM, and respond with the right context—check the schedule, confirm details, and book a date on the spot. That CRM was built by the same team behind Known Caller, so the whole workflow feels like one system.

How it works

  1. Connect your store

Your customers become available automatically on your side—ready to sync to the devices you trust.

  2. Sync your phone

Works with iPhone, Android, Mac, and PC—using the contacts apps you already use.

  3. Answer with context

See who's calling with synced contact details—and open their record on your platform in one tap.

Uses standard CardDAV—no separate Known Caller app required on your devices.

How it works technically

Your store publishes contacts over standard CardDAV. Your devices subscribe—similar to iCloud or Google—so callers show up with the names and fields you keep in your shop. Known Caller does not host your customer list: your shop exposes CardDAV on your infrastructure, and phones or laptops connect straight to that endpoint. The path is platform → your device—not platform → us → you.

Your data stays with you
Known Caller doesn't store or process your customers. Your store connects directly to your devices—no middleman.

Waitlist sign-ups are separate: we only use your email to send product updates (see Privacy)—not your store's customer database.
